Design and Development of Energy Monitoring and Visualization Platform for Smart Energy Meters

January 2026 – May 2026

B.Tech Final Year Project

A cloud-enabled energy monitoring platform designed to collect, process and visualize real-time electrical energy data from multiple smart energy meters. The platform integrates IoT communication, cloud technologies and interactive dashboards to provide live monitoring, historical analytics, automated report generation and source-wise comparison between Grid and DG power systems.

The project was developed using modern cloud and web technologies, enabling scalable data collection, secure communication and intuitive visualization for efficient energy management in industrial and institutional environments.

AWS Node.js Express.js MongoDB MQTT RS-485 Modbus RTU Chart.js HTML CSS JavaScript

Configured a Teltonika TRB245 IoT Gateway for multifunction meter acquisition through RS-485/Modbus, mapping register IDs and enabling MQTT telemetry to AWS cloud infrastructure.
Designed and developed a cloud-connected IoT architecture using AWS IoT Core and MQTT, with real-time pipelines through AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and AI-powered reports using Amazon Bedrock.
Achieved 0.8-second latency with zero packet loss while managing cloud infrastructure, system architecture, and end-to-end data flow across IoT, database, and web layers.

AWS Cloud Hosting & CI/CD Automation

Developed a modern and responsive business portfolio website for Apurva Creation, focusing on performance, accessibility and seamless user experience. The website showcases business services, portfolio, contact information and responsive design across all devices.

The project was deployed on AWS using a scalable cloud architecture and integrated with an automated CI/CD pipeline through GitHub Actions, enabling continuous deployment with every code update while ensuring secure and reliable hosting.

HydroSense – Smart Water Management System

Second Year · Microcontroller and Integrated Circuit Based Application

Developed a microcontroller-based smart water management system for a college building using an Arduino Nano to automate water-level monitoring and improve water utilization.
Implemented real-time water-level detection with an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, automatic/manual pump control, and live water-level display on an I2C LCD.
Integrated a SIM900A GSM module to send instant SMS alerts for tank status and pump operation, reducing manual intervention while preventing water overflow and dry running.
